The Road Trip Pal story

The Road Trip Pal story began at a small, isolated campground nestled in Haast Pass – a spectacular mountain pass in New Zealand’s Southern Alps.

But it wasn’t while camping that Road Trip Pal was born. I’d pulled into the campground for a quick break from driving. As I looped the car around the camp road the most amazing mountain vista unfolded before my eyes. It was a sight that had been behind me while I was driving. If I hadn’t stopped, I would have completely missed it’s jaw dropping beauty.

As I continued across the Haast Pass, I made an effort to stop at every little scenic spot to make sure I didn’t miss a single thing.

I didn’t have a passenger on that trip, so I had no one to read from a guide book. But even if I did, I sure didn’t want them having their head stuck in a book on the windy road. Plus a guide book wouldn’t have had the detail I needed to decide which of the many places I should stop at.

So I created Road Trip Pal audio tours, so that New Zealand’s road trippers wouldn’t miss a single thing.

Most visitors to New Zealand have come a long way and have very limited time. Road Trip Pal means you can make the most of every single moment on your trip.
